How the Bio-Wash Process Works
During yarn spinning and knitting, microscopic stray cotton fibers protrude from the fabric surface. These tiny fibers create rough hand-feel and eventually tangle together to form unsightly "pills" (fuzz balls) after washing.
Bio-washing treats the knitted fabric with specialized biological cellulase enzymes. These enzymes gently digest the loose micro-fibrils without harming the core cotton yarn structure. The fabric is then rinsed and treated with cationic silicon softeners.
